Scholastic Art & Writing Awards NATIONAL MEDALISTS

Congratulations to Andrew Van Buren, MVHS senior and IB Visual Art and Computer Graphics student, on winning a National Silver Medal in the 2014 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for his video game "Belong". It was created using 3D modeling in Blender and game design in Unity.
Andrew also won a National Medal for 3D Systems as a junior in 2013.

Congratulations to Jordan Klager, MVHS Senior and Photography 3 student, on winning a National Silver Medal with Distinction for her Art Portfolio in the 2013 Scholastic Art Awards! Jordan received a $1,000 scholarship. Her portfolio can be viewed below.
Learn more about how to submit to the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards here. The deadline is in early January 2015. All seniors will be required to submit at least one portfolio of 8 cohesive works expressing originality/creativity, personal voice/vision, and craftsmanship/technical skill.
